Last night, Le Bon Marché in Paris dressed up as the Webster Miami, complete with palm trees and flamingos ushering guests into the iconic department store. There, Laure Heriard Dubreuil of the Webster and Patrice Wagner of Le Bon Marché hosted a party to celebrate their collaboration for the 2015 edition of “le mois du blanc,” for which top designers were commissioned to create limited-edition items in white sold exclusively at both stores.
Laure (in Louis Vuitton) and Aaron Young chatted with designers and friends Delfina Delettrez, Aurélie Bidermann, Yaz Bukey, and Coperni duo Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer. The cocktail was followed by a dinner at La Grande Epicerie, where an all-white menu of scallop soufflé, wild cod, a flamingo dessert, and a white coffee by La Grande Epicerie’s chef Jean Jacques Massé was served. After dinner, Carlos Souza, Anna Cleveland, Vogue’s Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Elizabeth von Guttman, and Alexia Niedzielski stayed for a special performance by Faada Freddy.
Meanwhile, Thom Browne’s cocktail party at Colette was a celebration of his spring 2015 men’s and women’s collections. On one wall, Thom Browne looks were displayed via artistic images taken by Erik Madigan Heck for “NO PHOTOS PLEASE,” where guests including Anna Wintour, Christiane Arp from German Vogue, Masafumi Suzuki from GQ Japan, and Stephen Jones could check them out.
And finally, Emilio Pucci hosted the launch of its eyewear collection by Marcolin at the hôtel particulier of the Italian Embassy at 51 Rue de Varenne. Guests were welcomed by candles lining the pathway to a charming courtyard. Peter Dundas’s favorite girls including Poppy Delevingne, Natasha Poly, Elena Perminova, and Izabel Goulart were all there wearing sparkling Pucci. After cocktails, the group ascended the large marble staircase, which led to the second floor where two exquisite dining rooms were arranged with two large tables covered in a waterfall of flowers in pastel and fuchsia.
Lauren Santo Domingo, Clotilde Courau, Derek Blasberg, Dasha Zhukova, Pierre-Yves Roussel, and others sat for a dinner of squid ravioli with grilled shrimp, sea bass with butternut truffle gnocchi, and a delicious panna cotta with orange marmalade—and talk turned to the eyewear being toasted: “These glasses can make a woman even more beautiful and mysterious than she already is, they can hide but also show more,” said Maurizio Marcolin. Dundas added: “It’s magic!”
